Photo Text Editor ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information when you use Photo Text Editor (the "Service"), and the rights you have.

Please read this policy before you use the Service. Using the Service means you have read it and agree to it. If we make a material change, we will email you at least 14 days before it takes effect and update the date above.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Account information: name, email address, and a hashed password.
  • Images and text you upload or type so we can edit text in a photo, including prompts and the edited images we return.
  • Payment information: amount and payment status. We do not store full card numbers. Card data is handled by our payment processor (section 4).
  • Messages you send to support, including tickets and attachments.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and network: IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, and time zone.
  • Use of the Service: pages viewed, features used, and session length.
  • Logs: request time, error logs, and performance data.

Optional sign-in

If you choose Google or GitHub sign-in, we receive the basic profile those services share with us, such as your name, email address, and profile image.

We do not collect precise location.

2. How We Use Information

We do not send marketing email unless you opt in. You can unsubscribe from marketing without losing billing or security messages.

We may aggregate or de-identify data for statistics. That data does not identify you.

3. Cookies

If analytics are enabled, they may include Google Analytics (https://policies.google.com/privacy) or Plausible (https://plausible.io/privacy). You can block non-essential cookies in your browser. We do not use a separate in-product cookie manager.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information, including a "sale" as defined by the CCPA.

We share information only:

  • With providers who host, pay, support, or measure the Service, under confidentiality terms. Card data is processed only by Waffo Pancake, our PCI-DSS payment processor, and is not stored on our servers.
  • Image models: images and prompts you submit are sent to the AI provider needed to produce the edit, including OpenAI, only to perform that request.
  • When the law, a court, or a regulator requires it.
  • In a merger or acquisition, with notice and continued protection.
  • For another purpose only with your explicit consent.

5. Security

  • Data in transit uses TLS / HTTPS.
  • Passwords are stored as hashes, not as plain text.
  • Access is limited to people who need it.
  • We review security on a recurring basis.

If a breach is likely to affect your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authority without undue delay, and where the law requires it, within 72 hours of becoming aware. Keep your account credentials to yourself.

6. How Long We Keep Information

7. Your Rights

Email support@phototexteditor.com to use these rights. We respond within 30 calendar days.

You can also complain to the data-protection authority where you live.

8. Marketing

We send marketing only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe with the link in the email or by emailing us. Billing and security messages are not marketing and continue while you have an account.

9. International Transfers

Our hosting, database, and AI providers may process information in the United States and in other countries where they operate. Where the law requires a safeguard, we use contracts that include the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or we transfer only to a recipient that offers an equivalent level of protection.

10. Children

The Service is for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger. If you believe a child has given us information, email support@phototexteditor.com and we will delete it.

11. Other Sites

The Service may link to other sites, including the Waffo Pancake checkout and customer portal. This policy covers information we collect. Those sites have their own policies.

12. Changes

For a material change we will email you, or post a notice, at least 14 days before it takes effect, and we will change the date at the top of this page. Use after that date means you accept the update.
