Refund and cancellation policy for PhotoTextEditor

1. Refunds & Cancellation

Self-Service Cancellation

You may cancel your active subscription at any time through:

  • Your account settings: Cancel directly through your PhotoTextEditor account settings
  • Creem's My Orders page: Manage and cancel subscriptions via Creem's My Orders page using the email address associated with your purchase

The cancellation will prevent the next renewal charge and you may continue to use paid features until the current billing cycle ends.

Note: You may see charges from "CREEM.IO* STORE" on your bank or card statements. This is normal — Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ) acts as our merchant of record and processes payments on our behalf. Learn more about why you see Creem charges.

Immediate Cancellation & Refund

If you wish to reverse a subscription charge immediately after purchase, please email support@phototexteditor.com within 24 hours. Our team will void or refund that transaction in accordance with card-network rules.

2. Refund Window

7-Day Refund Policy

You may request a refund within 7 calendar days of the original charge. We will deduct the monetary value of any generation credits you have already used and refund the unused portion to the original payment method.

After 7 days, payments are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.

2.1 Refund Conditions

  • Unused credits only: Refund amount is reduced by the value of credits already used
  • Original payment method: Refunds processed to the same card/account used for purchase
  • Subscription purchases: This policy applies to both initial and renewal subscription purchases
  • One-time purchases: Credit packages and one-time purchases are also eligible for refunds within the 7-day window
  • Good standing: Account must not be suspended for terms violations

2.2 EU/UK Consumer Rights

EU/UK consumers retain the 14-day statutory right of withdrawal for digital content unless they expressly waive it by starting to use the service immediately after purchase. To exercise this right, please contact us at support@phototexteditor.com within 14 days of purchase. This right is in addition to our 7-day refund policy and applies regardless of credit usage.

3. Refund Process

3.1 How to Request a Refund

All refund requests are handled directly by our merchant support team. While payments are processed by Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ) as the merchant of record, refund eligibility and processing are managed by our team, as stated in Creem's documentation.

    • Your account email
    • Subscription plan or purchase type (subscription / one-time credit package)

3.2 Processing Timeline

  • Response time: We'll acknowledge your request within 24 hours
  • Review period: Refunds are typically approved within 1–2 business days
  • Processing time: 5–7 business days to appear in your account
  • Refund method: Original payment method (credit card, PayPal, etc.)

3.3 What Happens Next

  • For subscriptions: Your subscription will be immediately canceled and access to premium features will be revoked
  • For one-time purchases: Any unused credits will be removed from your account
  • You'll receive email confirmation of the refund once processed

4. Credit Usage During Refund Window

Fair Usage Policy

We encourage you to fully test our service during the 7-day refund window. Normal usage of your monthly credits will not affect your refund eligibility.

  • Acceptable: Using credits for legitimate video generation and testing
  • Acceptable: Exploring different features, video lengths, and styles
  • Not acceptable: Bulk generation with intent to cancel (abuse)
  • Not acceptable: Commercial usage while planning to request refund

5. Special Circumstances

5.1 Technical Issues

If you experience significant technical problems that prevent normal use of our service, please contact support immediately. We may extend your refund eligibility period or offer alternative solutions.

5.2 Billing Errors

If you believe you've been charged incorrectly, contact us immediately. Billing errors will be resolved regardless of the 7-day window.

5.3 Service Changes

If we make significant changes to our service that materially affect your subscription benefits, existing subscribers may be eligible for prorated refunds.

You can update your payment method at any time through:

7. Anti-Abuse Policy

We trust our customers to use the refund policy in good faith. Patterns of abuse may result in account restrictions.

We reserve the right to decline refunds or restrict accounts that show patterns of subscription abuse, including:

  • Repeatedly subscribing and canceling to avoid payment
  • Using fake information or multiple accounts to circumvent refund policy restrictions
  • Excessive credit usage with clear intent to cancel and request refund
  • Commercial usage during the refund window with intent to refund
